The Citadel Trust Network

A cheater database that earns its trust

Every Cloud server fights the same serial cheaters. The Trust Network makes those bans collective — but a shared ban list is only as good as it is fair. So every ban is vouched by independent operators, every ban is appealable, and no overturn happens without a human moderator's approval.

How a ban spreads

Earned, not assumed

One operator's ban doesn't silently hit every server. A ban only propagates once independent operators agree — and the system actively guards against a single wrongful ban going viral.

1

Ban as you normally do

Your bans are forwarded to the shared pool as a vouch. Sensitive cases can be kept local with a per-ban opt-out.

2

Three independent vouches

A SteamID only goes live network-wide once independent operators have vouched for it with enough combined weight — by default, three different admins. Until then it stays pending and invisible to everyone else.

3

Circuit breaker on high-impact bans

If a ban racks up unusually high agreement, it's held for manual moderator review before spreading further — catching the rare case where everyone copied the same wrongful ban.

Appeals — with approval

A real second chance, not a dead end

Being on a shared ban list shouldn't be a life sentence with no recourse. Any banned player can appeal — and a human moderator must approve any overturn before it takes effect. No silent reversals, no black box.

Structured, evidence-backed

Appeals are submitted with a written explanation and optional evidence — not a Discord message that scrolls away. Each ban already carries auto-attached evidence for context.

Human approval required

A moderator reviews every appeal. An overturn only happens when a person signs off — the system never reverses a ban on its own.

Reviewed within 7 days

You get a confirmation and a status link when you appeal. Decisions are typically made within a week.

Overturned network-wide

When an appeal is approved, the ban is removed across every connected server — usually within an hour. The fix propagates as fast as the ban did.

Keeps vouchers honest

Operators whose bans get overturned lose vouching weight; a high overturn rate locks their submissions entirely. Sloppy or malicious banning costs you influence.

Bans aren't forever by default

Entries age out after a period of no fresh activity, so accounts that were resold or recovered don't stay flagged indefinitely.

Open & federated

Trust data you can build on

The network isn't a walled garden. Look players up however you identify them, and integrate Citadel's trust data into your own panel, bot, or workflow.

Look up any player

Resolve a player by SteamID, Citadel ID, or Discord and see their trust score and recent activity — from a panel or the cloud Discord bot.

Public Trust API

A documented, rate-limited read API returns a trust score for any identifier — integrate it anywhere, no purchase required to read.

Partner export feed

An incremental export feed lets partners mirror active bans and overturns to keep their own systems in sync.

Catch cheaters. Stay fair.

The Trust Network ships with Citadel Cloud. Your servers contribute to and benefit from a ban database that polices itself.
